How We Set These Ranges

Prices
No government body or industry association publishes commercial floor coating prices, so every band comes from contractor price pages in Ontario and elsewhere in Canada, read in September 2026. We used pages dated 2025 or 2026 and left out older ones. Two pages from the same website count as one source, and a page that cites another as its own source is not counted separately. We show a band only where at least two independent sources agree on the commercial overlap; residential and garage prices were left out.
That gives bands for commercial epoxy, polyaspartic and polyurea, polished concrete on an existing slab, and standard surface prep. It gives none for urethane cement (too few Canadian prices), MMA (no Canadian price found) or a moisture-tolerant primer, so the sheets say that instead of giving a number.
Times and moisture limits
First-use and full-service times and slab moisture limits come from one product's published data sheet, guide spec or brochure, and each card names which kind of document it is. Another product can differ, the figures assume the temperature the document states, and none of them includes the moisture test or the prep days. Your product's data sheet governs.
The condition notes
The ticks on each sheet only show what a source says about that condition for each system. Where we found nothing, the card says "No source found". The notes do not rank the systems or tell you which one to choose; the contractor's site visit and the product data sheet do.
What we left out
No job totals, no floor-area maths, no price differences between parts of Ottawa, and no approval or "food-safe" claims for any coating. We are a matching service, not a flooring company, and we do not screen or verify contractors.
